What is Bidray?

Bidray is a new and exciting auction concept, that lets users win some of the best bargain deals online! We auction away brand new, top-name, high quality products at only a fraction of their retail cost. We do this by charging our users a small fee for each bid placed, just $0.80-$1.00 depending on the size of the Bid Pack you purchase, to support our crazy bargain prices. You will find completely ridiculous prices in all of our auctions that start at just $0.01 with no reserve. Take a look at the items we're currently auctioning, and if there's one you want, why not buy some bids?

How does it work?

With each bid placed, the price of the item increases by 1 penny. When a bid is placed, we also reset the counter back up to the auction's bidding time (60 seconds), to give other users a chance of placing another bid during this time. If no-one else places a higher bid than yours, and the counter reaches zero, congratulations!

Bidding

To place a bid just click on the "Bid" button! It's as simple as that! This makes you the highest bidder and resets the counter of the auction's bidding time to 60 seconds (if the auction clock has already went under 1 minute). If the timer runs out before anyone else places a bid, you win the auction!

Bidding with the Bid Buddy

We think that watching the auction as your bids come in is part of the fun, but we also know that sometimes you need to drag yourself away from your computer. That's when the Bid Buddy comes in handy. Just tell the Bid Buddy how many bids you want it to automatically place on behalf of you and it'll take care of the rest.
If no one else has bid on the auction, the Bid Buddy will place a bid for you within the final seconds ofthe auction at a random time to make his bidding patterns very unpredictable. The countdown then resets, as it would for a normal bid, allowing other bidders to bid again if they want to. If no one places a higher bid after yours, you win the auction! After you've won the auction the bids that the Bid Buddy didn't use are credited back into your Bidray account.

Payments

You can pay for your won items and Bid Packs by credit card, debit card or via PayPal. We accept all Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discovery credit cards, Visa debit cards including Visa Electron as well as Maestro debit cards.
We use DalPay to securely process all of our credit/debit card transactions.

Charity

Here at Bidray, we take charity seriously.
That is why we donate 100% of the final sales price to charity of the winner's choosing.This means that if a user wins a bargain for $10.43, then that $10.43 will be donated to a charity of theusers choice.
We support charities such as the American Cancer Society, Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, and more.

At the moment we are unfortunately unable to offer the service outside the United States and in Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana,Maryland, Montana, Tennessee and Vermont.

Is Bidray a real auction?

Yes.
Bidray is indeed an auction and not very different from other auction sites. However, we only allow users to place a higher bid that is just one penny over that of the previous highest bidder. In order to prevent users from simply bidding thousands of times, thus quickly increasing our prices to that of normal auction sites, we charge a small fee for each bid placed. By charging this fee, we are also able to provide our users with the best prices to be found anywhere! Our goal is to be able to provide our auction winners with the best bargain deals on the internet!

Is this legal?

Yes, Bidray follows all government legislation, and organizing auctions of this type is perfectly legal. We are a young and enthusiastic team aiming for complete transparency and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
We charge our members a service fee for every bid placed to cover the costs of running the website, providing the bargains and shipping out them to their doors. This allows us to provide an advertisement free platform and we never sell or rent any personal information about our customers to any third party.
Bidray is not a lottery, nor is there any element of chance to the bidding process. If there is no bidder that is ready to pay a higher price than the current bid for an item, the item is won by the current highest bidder.
By only letting each bid be 1 penny higher than the last bid, and charging users a small fee for using thesite to bid, we are able to keep the prices on our items extremely low!

Troubleshooting

I've just won an auction! What now?
Firstly, congratulations - well done on winning the auction! You will be sent an automated e-mail with instructions on how to process the payment through our website. Remember, 100% of the price will go to the charity organization of your choice!
Please make sure that you pay within 7 days of the end of the auction. We’ll confirm your payment via e-mail and arrange for the item to be shipped to you. If the item hasn’t arrived within 30 days after you have submitted the payment, please contact us.

I can't place a bid / the site is running really slow / the counters aren't moving!

Don't download or stream any large files while bidding. Also, make sure there are no other computers in your network using your bandwidth and remember that we recommend to close all other network applications than your internet browser to avoid connection problems while you're bidding on Bidray. We recommend that you bid atleast 5 seconds before the timer reaches zero.

How do I change my password?

Please log onto Bidray, then go to "My Bidray < Details" and select the option "Change password".

I've forgot my password or user name!

Click on the "Help" option. Select the link "Forgot password?" in the self help box. We'll send you an email with your password. Due to security reasons we highly recommend that you change your password after this.
